SURVIVRA! is an evening of action art that aims to collect funds necessary for the production of the 6th edition of VIVA! Art Action, scheduled to take place the first week of October 2017. This festive evening will highlight the importance of Montreal’s only performance art biennale, which has supported, showcased, and connected a growing community of local, national, and international art action practitioners since 2006.

During the evening, five performers will present actions inspired by the performances they presented at previous editions of VIVA!

PERFORMANCE RAFFLE: Rachel Echenberg
The Performance Raffle invites the public to place a bet on the duration of a performance. The person whose guess is closest to the actual duration will win half of the money raised in the raffle!

Danny Gaudreault is an interdisciplinary artist based in Montreal. Over the past fifteen years, he has presented his work in performance art festivals and events across Canada (Toronto, Montreal, Québec, Saguenay) as well as in Helsinki, Finland. Marlène Renaud-B.’s performative practice is marked by echo and the dissolution of the individual within their constructed, natural and political environment. A native of Laval-sur-l’asphalte, she is particularly fond of interstitial spaces with transgressive potential, and physically demanding precarious situations. www.marlenerenaudb.com
